OMONIA TRANS is a proud Authorised Economic Operator!
A new season has just started! Along with it comes, as always, the monthly newsletter of our company, with reports and developments from the market and also important news of OMONIA TRANS. We wish to each one of our partners and clients a year of many professional successes with a full return to normalcy.
For OMONIA TRANS the season started with the most pleasant news for us and our customers! Our company is now licensed as a bonded warehouse, having acquired the AEO (Authorised Economic Operator) license from IAPR, the Independent Authority for Public Revenue of Greece. What does this mean for our partners? Many things and all of them good.
With this authorization, OMONIA TRANS can now undertake the processing of customs procedures and more specifically partial and total customs clearance. It can also monitor all customs procedures and act as a customs procedure consultant, thus facilitating the process of importing or exporting goods from / to third countries for its customers. OMONIA TRANS. Appreciated. Specialized. Licensed!
| | | | CSR Action: We supported the “Afternoon of Love” with all our love!
Since the first day of our company, more than 42 years ago, there has been a non-negotiable value for us: constant contribution to society and support to our fellow human beings in need. In this light, OMONIA TRANS recently took part in an event that filled us with love.
The CEO of our company Ms Fotini Giannopoulou attended the charity event “Parish Afternoon of Love - Dedicated to the 200 years of the Greek Revolution”.
The event was organized by the Holy Diocese of Kifissia, Marousi and Oropos (Athens northern suburbs) and the Parish Action Fund of the Holy Church of Agios Panteleimon of Pefki (in the vicinity of Omonia Trans’ premises in Athens).
The event took place on Monday, September 27, in the beautiful area of the Ariadne Estate in Varimpompi, Athens and OMONIA TRANS supported the work of the Parish Action Fund by offering money and supermarket vouchers.
We supported the “Afternoon of Love” with all our love, and whenever necessary, we willdo it again!
| | Covid surge followed by price surge.
The COVID-19 pandemic has changed our lives in many ways. The full disruption of normality which resulted in restrictions, lockdowns and also huge salvation packages and necessary support measures from all governments on the planet, had, as expected, consequences on the global economy.
First and foremost? The emergence (or reemergence if we talk about our country) of inflation. Since about the beginning of the year, in Greece we have been experiencing something that we had been living without for several years: a price surge which has affected the daily life of the Greek people and, of course, our industry.
Inflationary pressures, mainly due to rising oil and gas prices, have also led to a sharp rise in production and transport costs. The worrying thing is that this phenomenon of imported inflation is expected to intensify and peak in the coming months. The solution; Government, producers and traders can, together, create a common front against imported inflation. We hope they do.
