| APRIL 2023 // 82nd Newsletter | | | The power of the north!
OMONIA TRANS has been operating for decades in Athens area from its central location in Lykovrysi Attica (junction of Attica Road and Athens - Thessaloniki National Road). However, as strong and strategic as the company’s geographical position is in the Greek south, it is even more so in the Greek north.
Thessaloniki has always been a transportation hub for us, and it will continue to be. That’s why we’ve made it our top priority to strengthen our presence in the region by expanding our office and introducing new, modern services.
As part of this effort, OMONIA TRANS now provides new export opportunities from its Thessaloniki branch, operating directly from northern Greece to central, western, and eastern Europe, in the fastest lead times that our customers know and enjoy.
If you’re operating business in the region, don’t wait any longer. Contact OMONIA TRANS’ Thessaloniki branch at 2310 556 271 today to learn about our new services and experience the power of the north! | | | | The 35 Easter candles... for 35 children
OMONIA TRANS has been supporting the Association of Parents & Friends of Autistic People “Anagennisi” for years. This Easter, on the occasion of Anagennisi completing 20 years of existence and continuous action, our company made a special gift to the Association.
In particular, we offered 35 handmade Easter candles for the Anagennisi children, all made by our Sales Department employee, Anna Karagiannidis. Anna, for a few days, turned her hobby into a… “profession”, working hard to create the Easter candles in time.
Her reward and ours? The priceless smiles that lit up the faces of 35 children during the holy days of Easter!
The “Anagennisi” Association, which was founded in 2003 by parents and friends of autistic children with the aim of ensuring their equal rights in life, is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. The Association offers recreational and sports programs as well as two assisted living shelters, while it aspires to acquire privately owned shelters for children in the near future. | | Greek Easter: Warmth of Heart, Ascension of Spirit
For us Greeks, the celebration of Easter, Orthodoxy’s biggest event always holds significant meaning. Our customs and traditions, along with the immense joy we experience upon receiving the glad tidings of the Resurrection, make Greek Easter an exceptional and unparalleled occasion worldwide.
This year’s Easter festivities coincided with a massive surge in excursions, with an estimated 1.5 to 2 million Athenians departing the capital to celebrate the occasion in their villages. This marks a 5% increase from last year and a 10% rise from the pre-pandemic year of 2019.
We sincerely hope that you, our partners and customers had a joyful and splendid Easter, filled with the Resurrection’s message and bringing warmth of heart and ascension of spirit!
