Germany vs. Italy... at OMONIA TRANS headquarters!

The big topic these days is none other than the European Football Championship, in
which both the host nation Germany and the reigning champion Italy are
participating. However, besides the Euro 2024 stadiums, Germany and Italy are also
present somewhere else. Where? At the OMONIA TRANS headquarters!
Specifically, Italian and German correspondents visited our facilities and were hosted
in the best possible way by our company. During a packed schedule, our
correspondents discussed with us the development of our joint lines, and they also
visited our clients in Athens and Thessaloniki.
We do not know who will ultimately be crowned champion in this year’s Euro. What
we do know is that OMONIA TRANS, with the invaluable help of its partners, is
emerging as a champion in service and meeting every need of its customers, from the
smallest to the largest!

The Big Blue... is also protected!

For us Greeks, the Aegean Sea means many things. It means an endless blue that
awakens memories of ancient myths and legends. It means islands spread out like
pearls, each with its own story. It means the poems of our Nobel laureate Odysseas
Elytis, who loved and praised the Aegean and the Greek summer like no one else.

But it also means something else: environmental protection, biodiversity preservation,
and cleaning the beautiful depths of the Aegean from the reckless disposal of waste
into the sea. For this reason, OMONIA TRANS supports the work of the organization
Aegean Rebreath through a significant donation.

Founded in 2017, Aegean Rebreath has established special stations for collecting
marine debris throughout Greece. Having cleaned 92 seabeds and coasts across the
country so far, the initiative is expanding its work into other areas, such as education,
research, and the development of national models for protecting Greek seas.

Digital consignment note: soon to be mandatory.

The mandatory introduction of the digital consignment note by the Greek Independent
Authority for Public Revenue (IAPR) marks a new era in goods transportation, while
also constituting a significant step in the fight against tax evasion.

This measure will allow electronic monitoring of all stages of product transportation,
from the producer to the consumer, in real time. According to the draft decision
released for public consultation, the data of the digital monitoring of goods
transportation will be transmitted in real time to the myDATA platform before the
transportation begins.

The digital consignment notes apply to everyone and everything: retail and wholesale
goods transportation, foreign and domestic sales, sales on behalf of third parties,
credit invoices, intra-Community acquisitions, etc. The digital transportation
documents will receive a Unique Registration Number for each valid transmission to
the myDATA platform and will include a QR Code.
