Warehouse Staff: Our Unsung Heroes!

At OMONIA TRANS, behind every successful delivery and every satisfied customer, there are individuals working tirelessly, far from the offices and away from the “spotlight”. They are the ones who organize, sort, load, and handle everything with absolute precision. They are our warehouse staff!

The warehouse team is the heart of our business. Without them, nothing would run as smoothly. They are the first to arrive and the last to leave, working tirelessly and often beyond their hours, pushing themselves every day to ensure that every delivery reaches its destination on time.

For their sweat, their dedication, and their quiet yet crucial contribution...

we simply say thank you!

Supporting a different kind of school!

In Thessaloniki, at the heart of the historic “Xyladika” area, lies the 64th Elementary School. Most of its students come from socially vulnerable groups: Roma, refugees, single-parent families, and others who survive on minimal incomes. Their financial challenges, insufficient state funding, and rising prices of essential goods have left the school facing significant shortages.

Faced with these challenges, we could not remain indifferent. We took action to address some immediate needs. We replaced the broken windows that, until recently, were held together with adhesive tape, posing a danger to the children. We also sent educational materials to support the daily learning process.

And because care goes beyond the basics, we also met other needs of the children: clothing, school bags, and other essential items. For us at OMONIA TRANS, these children are not just students. They are the future. And for the future, it is worth striving every day!

Transport and Storage: Champions of Growth

According to data from the Hellenic Statistical Authority for 2023, the Transport and Storage sector has remained on a growth trajectory. Specifically, as indicated by the data, the sector recorded a 16.1% increase in the registration of new businesses.

This performance matches that of the Construction sector, which achieved the same increase (16.1%). In contrast, declines in new business registrations were observed in sectors such as Electricity, Gas, Steam, and Air Conditioning Supply (-56.1%) and Information and Communication (-3.7%).

The stability and consistent growth of the Transport and Storage sector highlight its significant contribution to the overall economy and underscore the need for continued investment and the maintenance of a favorable environment for businesses in the sector.
