2025. Its challenges will become opportunities!

Another year has begun, marking the 46th anniversary of OMONIA TRANS! 2025 brings new challenges, demands, and realities that we must address, both domestically and internationally. But it also brings something more—opportunities and prospects for growth.

We are committed to fully seizing these opportunities. Guided by our reliability, expertise, and continuous investment in cutting-edge technologies that enhance efficiency and accelerate our processes, we aim to deliver the high-quality services OMONIA TRANS is known for, to our clients and partners for yet another year.

OMONIA TRANS. We handle. We care. For 2025... and always!

Every morning, a ray of sunshine!

At OMONIA TRANS, we wholeheartedly support our vulnerable fellow citizens, showing special care and dedication to children. For this reason, in 2025, we proudly and joyfully continue an initiative we have established over the past three years.

This year, we will once again support the work of the Panhellenic Association for the Support and Aid of Paraplegics and People with Special Needs, “Heliaktida” (“Ray of Sunshine”), by providing breakfast for children at a Special Public School. In this way, we contribute to building a brighter future for children who need it most.

Founded in 2012, Heliaktida is dedicated to providing moral and financial support to families caring for individuals with special needs, as well as to institutions and schools that host, support, and care for people with disabilities. With dedication and sensitivity, Heliaktida offers a safety net of care and protection to anyone in need.

Digital Tachograph: The grace period ends!

Following discussions at the European Commission on December 18, 2024, EU Member States agreed on a two-month educational grace period, until February 28, 2025, for the mandatory installation of digital tachographs in trucks and tour buses.

This grace period ensures that vehicles can continue cross-border operations without disruptions to EU supply chains while giving transport operators additional time to retrofit their vehicles.

Digital tachographs will enhance transparency and contribute to increased road safety and reduced driver fatigue. However, it should be noted that the new directive is expected to extend overall transportation time, as strict adherence to time limits for stops and rest periods will be required.

Until February 28, recommendations for compliance with the European directive will be made without penalties, while from March 1, 2025, inspections will become stricter with the imposition of fines on violators.
