OMONIA TRANS, WE HANDLE - WE CARE
MARCH 2025

Tulips bloom for the third year in a row!

This month, we had the pleasure and honor of welcoming our correspondents from the Netherlands to our facilities. This annual meeting has now become a tradition, further strengthening the bond of trust, friendship, and professionalism we have built over the years. The visit agenda included a tour of our offices and warehouse, introductions to new team members, meetings for setting new goals , and, of course, plenty of smiles!

The interaction, exchange of ideas, and joint strategic outlook prove that transportation partnerships are not just about trucks and routes. Above all, they’re about people. And with our Dutch partners, we’ve created something far more meaningful than a business collaboration: a pleasantly unexpected friendship.

OMONIA TRANS & the Netherlands: A relationship that blossoms year after year.
We continue together! Wij gaan samen verder!

Change Makers Youth Challenge. Change begins with the youth!

OMONIA TRANS, always true to its philosophy of investing in the future and in young people, proudly sponsors the Change Makers Youth Challenge, a groundbreaking initiative that helps teenagers develop leadership, creativity, and empathy.

This initiative is more than just an educational program. It is a journey of inspiration, collaboration, and creativity for teens from all over Greece, who come together to change the world. With “Sustainable Living” as the theme for 2025, the youth are invited to reflect, empathize, and design real solutions to global challenges.

The program will culminate in a grand final on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at the Benaki Museum. We will be there, not only as sponsors, but also as proud spectators, to applaud those who dare to dream, to collaborate, and to design a more sustainable and humane world.

For us at OMONIA TRANS, all participants are already winners!

eFTI: a new step towards digital transformation of transport

The eFTI (electronic Freight Transport Information) Regulation has officially come into effect, promoting the full digitalization of freight transport within the EU. The regulation gradually replaces paper-based documentation across all modes of transport—road, rail, inland waterways, and air—ushering in a new era of reduced bureaucracy, lower costs, and smaller environmental footprints.

For businesses, the benefits are clear: an estimated €1 billion in annual savings, more efficient route planning, and faster, direct data exchange via certified eFTI platforms. Furthermore, easy access to information improves decision-making and enhances the reliability of the supply chain.

EU Member States are also expected to benefit. eFTI reduces the need for physical inspections, cuts administrative costs, and offers more reliable data to better monitor transport policy implementation. It marks a major step toward a more sustainable and competitive logistics sector across Europe.
