| | Heading North!
Our journey towards our clients and partners in Northern Greece continues with momentum. Our visits to the region are a valuable opportunity for connection, exchange of ideas, and strengthening the bonds of trust that unite us.
But none of this would be possible without our branch in Northern Greece! It serves as our steady point of reference, our operational hub, and the base from which we provide immediate support to our clients and partners. Thanks to this presence, we are truly there, for every shipment, every need.
Let us remind you that in Northern Greece, we operate from the service road of the New Peripheral Ring Road (9th kilometer) in Oreokastro, covering the area of Thessaloniki, Macedonia, and the wider Balkan region. | | | | Easter in the Municipality of Lykovrysi – we were there! With great joy, OMONIA TRANS provided financial support for the Easter celebration organized by the Municipality of Lykovrysi – Pefki, held on Sunday, April 20, 2025. A festive table was set for all residents, with a special focus on our fellow citizens from vulnerable social groups, offering food, music, and, above all, companionship.
The event took place at the beautiful Tzermia Estate, a bequest dedicated to the recreation of the local community, which was fully renovated by the Municipal Authority. There, with traditional dishes, live music, and dancing, people of all ages came together as one big family, honoring Easter in a genuine and deeply human way.
At OMONIA TRANS, contributing to socially oriented initiatives is an integral part of our philosophy. We are proud to have supported such a warm and meaningful effort, helping to create moments that bring people closer and strengthen our community ties. | | Price de-escalation In the first quarter of 2024, a decline was recorded in both spot and contract rates for road freight transport across Europe, according to the Upply x Ti x IRU index. Spot rates fell by 8.2 points year-over-year, while contract rates dropped by 1 point, reflecting the ongoing impact of weakened demand.
Despite the overall decrease in rates, operating costs remain high for transport companies. Increases in toll charges due to new CO₂ emissions fees in countries such as Germany, Austria, Hungary, and the Czech Republic—alongside a gradual rise in diesel prices—are shaping a complex financial landscape for the industry.
At OMONIA TRANS, we closely monitor these developments and adapt our strategy with flexibility, ensuring we continue to deliver reliable services at competitive costs. Challenges drive us to improve, both for ourselves and for our valued clients. | |
